Who we are
Sonautic Inc. (“Sonautic”, “we”, “us”), the company that operates Nouvel, is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. Contact us at privacy@nouvel.ai or at 1111B S Governors Ave STE 37936, Dover, DE 19904, United States.
Information we collect
Account and billing information
We collect your email address, authentication identifiers and session information. If you subscribe, Stripe processes your payment details and gives us customer, subscription, transaction, billing status, and limited billing details. We do not receive full card numbers.
Searches, files, and saved work
We collect your search requests, URLs, niche and region instructions, uploaded file names and contents, generated search plans, result history, saved lists, saved reels, and your interactions with the Service. Uploaded files are processed for the request and are not intentionally kept as user files after the request completes, although temporary infrastructure copies and logs may persist for a limited period.
Reel and analysis data
We collect publicly available reel URLs, creator handles and names, captions, thumbnails, engagement counts, posting dates, duration, and provider metadata. When you request a download or analysis, we may store a private video copy and keep the resulting transcript, analysis, creative playbook, provider data, and processing status.
Technical and support data
Our hosting, security, and authentication systems may collect IP address, device and browser information, timestamps, request and error logs, and security events. We collect the contents of messages you send us.
Where information comes from
We receive information from you, your browser, Supabase authentication, Stripe, and the Service’s operation. We obtain public reel information from public social-platform pages through data providers such as Apify. If you include a website in a request, Exa may retrieve public content from that site and find related public pages.
How and why we use information
- provide accounts, searches, result history, saved libraries, downloads, and reel analyses;
- understand a request, process attachments, rank results, and generate creative research;
- manage subscriptions, scan credits, analysis credits, payments, and support;
- secure, debug, monitor, and improve the Service;
- prevent abuse, enforce our Terms, and protect users, rights holders, and Sonautic; and
- comply with law, legal process, and valid rights requests.
Where UK or EEA data-protection law applies, our legal bases are performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the Service and providing useful creative research, compliance with legal obligations, and consent where we specifically ask for it. We balance our legitimate interests against the rights of affected people, including creators whose public information appears in results.
AI and automated processing
Google Cloud AI and OpenAI process requests, public reel details, website context, and attachments to plan and rank searches. For reel analysis, Google Cloud AI processes a temporary staged video copy, and OpenAI or AWS Bedrock may refine the resulting analysis. We store the completed analysis in your account.
Sonautic does not use automated processing to make decisions about you that produce legal or similarly significant effects. AI outputs can be wrong and are provided for you to review. We do not use your individual content to train our own general-purpose AI model. Third-party providers process information under their applicable business terms and data controls.
Retention
We keep account, search, saved-library, billing-status, and analysis information while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards where needed for operations, security, disputes, tax, enforcement, and legal compliance. Stripe retains payment records under its own policy and applicable law.
Public reel metadata and cached covers may remain while useful to the Service. A private reel-video copy may remain while needed for authorised downloads, analysis, shared result history, security, disputes, or legal compliance. We may delete any copy sooner. Valid takedown and deletion requests are reviewed and, where appropriate, the stored copy and access to it are removed. Temporary video copies staged for Google analysis are scheduled for deletion after processing.
Backups and logs may persist for a limited period after deletion. We may retain information longer when required by law, needed to establish or defend claims, or necessary to prevent fraud and repeat abuse.
International transfers
Sonautic and its providers process information in the United States and other countries, which may have different data-protection laws. Where required, we use recognised safeguards for restricted transfers, such as adequacy regulations or contractual protections. Contact us for more information about safeguards relevant to your data.
Security
We use measures designed to protect information, including encrypted transport, access controls, row-level database permissions, private video storage, short-lived download links, request validation, and rate limiting. No online service or storage method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please report suspected security issues to security@nouvel.ai.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or obtain a portable copy of personal information, and to withdraw consent. You may also have the right to complain to a regulator. UK users can contact the Information Commissioner’s Office, and EEA users can contact their local supervisory authority.
California residents may have rights to know, access, correct, or delete personal information and to non-discrimination for exercising privacy rights. Sonautic does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
To exercise a right, close an account, request removal of a stored reel, or object to the appearance of your public creator information, email privacy@nouvel.ai. We may verify your identity and authority. Rights can be limited by law, the rights of others, and legitimate retention needs. You may appeal a refusal by replying to our decision.
Children
The Service is not for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect account information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will investigate.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the Service or law changes. We will post the revised policy and effective date, and provide additional notice where required.
For privacy questions, rights requests, complaints, or takedowns, contact privacy@nouvel.ai. For suspected security issues, contact security@nouvel.ai.
